Promotion: What's the weirdest and wackiest Christmas recipe you have in your repertoire? Comment below in 25 words or less, tag a friend and you could win a copy of The Edible Garden Cookbook by Paul West. The 4 most creative answers will win a copy. We have four to give away.
Information on and instructions on how to participate in this promotion form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
All entries must be submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The Promotion commences at 5:00pm AEDT on 12 December 2019 and concludes at 11:00pm AEDT on 16 December 2019 (“Promotion Period”).
Entry Method and Criteria:
The Promotion is a Game of Skill.
To enter the Promotion via Instagram, Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
- Respond in the comments section of the competition post by answering: What's the weirdest and wackiest Christmas recipe you have in your repertoire?; and
- Tag a friend in the same post.
Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter – Republic of Everyone and The Bravery) based on, creativity, originality and their compliance with the entry criteria, in the judge’s absolute discretion. The judge’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Entrants must be at least 18 years of age.
Entrants must be an Australian citizen or hold an Australian Residency and currently reside in Australia.
Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoters and third parties associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
Maximum Entries Per Person:
Entrants can enter as many times as they like.
Judging Date, Time and Place:
The Instagram winners will be announced on the Plant Life Balance Instagram page on 17 December 2019 at 12 pm AEDT
Judging will take place in the office of Republic of Everyone and The Bravery, Level 1, 116 - 118 Chalmers Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010. Tel: 02 8097 8746.
There are 4 (four) prizes in total. There is a limit to one prize per entry.
Each prize consists of: 1 x The Edible Garden cookbook. The total value of the prize pool is AU $100 (inclusive of GST)
Notification of Winners:
Winners will be notified via Instagram private message by 17 December 2019
Once the 4 x winners have been notified, they will need to provide the Promoter with their full name and postal address within a 1 (one) month period (calculated from the date of notification).
The Prize of 1 The Edible Garden Cookbook will be sent via registered post to their given address.
Terms and Conditions of the Prize:
- This Prize must be taken as offered. It is non-transferrable and no cash alternative will be offered.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotion entry is the Entrants responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Entrant invalid.
- The Promoter will arrange the postage of the prize at Promoters cost.
- Once the prize has left the Promoter’s/ its supplier’s premises, the Promoter and its service providers and companies associated with the Promotion will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, loss or damage to that prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for another of equal value, as reasonably determined by the Promoter, in its absolute discretion, and any directions by the regulator.
Entrants warrant that they will only submit original entries and have all necessary rights to provide any intellectual property right therein to the Promoter and consent to any act or omission which would otherwise constitute an infringement of their intellectual property.
As a condition of entry, Entrants irrevocably consent to any uploaded responses being used freely by the Promoter for promotional or advertising purposes in any medium world-wide and fee-free for unlimited time.
The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any entrants or entries where reasonable suspicion of unlawful or improper conduct exist. Any image or entry deemed offensive by the Promoter will be disqualified and removed from the relevant social media account.
All entries which breach the Promotion terms and conditions will be disqualified.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter (including but not limited to by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures) the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to terminate, modify, cancel or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, as deemed appropriate by Promoter.
The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred.
Content and Liability
Entrants agree that they are fully responsible for the content of the entry they submit (“Content”). The Promoter shall not be liable in any way for such Content to the full extent permitted by law. Entrants warrant and agree that: (a) they will not submit any Content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Promoter may deem in breach of any intellectual property rights, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable- with respect to race, religion, origin or gender- or otherwise unsuitable for publication; (b) they will obtain full prior consent, release and/or necessary licence from any person who has jointly created, or has any rights in the Content, for the use of that Content in this promotion and pursuant to these Conditions;(c) the Content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity; and (d) they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems. Without limiting any other terms herein, the Entrant indemnifies the Promoter for any breach of the above terms.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any correspondence that is late, lost, altered, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, corrupted, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;(including but not limited to entrant error or omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption or communications failure); or (d) any tax liability incurred by an Entrant.
The collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with the promotion is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). In order to conduct this promotion, the Promoter will collect personal information about each Entrant and may for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties associated with the promotion, including but not limited to its service providers, gift suppliers and regulatory authorities and for purposes of running the promotion.
Entrants information will be stored in the Promotors or its service provider’s database in order for the Promotor to manage the promotion, contact the Entrant (if required) and for future use of the entry and as may be required by law.
Entrants are not required by law to disclose this information. A failure by the Entrant to provide this information will result in the Promoter being unable to assess the entry and/or distribute the prize.
